Tour Preparation

Remember this Tour is in Northern Ireland. We have a changeable climate, so check the weather forecast before you arrive and bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

I’m a great believer in the importance of keeping hydrated, so bring a drink with you. Maybe a small snack, too, to nibble on if you need to keep your energy levels up.

We will meet on the path to the left of Carrickfergus Castle (you can’t miss it!). We won’t be going into the castle – that’s a separate experience well worth doing, in addition to this Tour, of course!

Tour Starting Point

If you have any concerns about your ability to complete a Tour, for whatever reason, speak to me before we head off and I’ll help you decide whether you want to join us or not.

Unfortunately, even though my mother was Dutch, I only speak English (well, a Northern Ireland version of it). If you don’t understand English, the Tour is still interesting enough as the locations and photos will give a good overview. If you need to bring an interpreter with you, that’s fine – just get them to speak with me on your arrival so we can agree how best to work together for your benefit. There is no fee charged for the translator.
